SAFE sexual harassment prevention training
Written by SAFEBuilding a Safe Environment – BASE Trained. For every organization and individual.
“The training team from SAFE created a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for our staff to tackle some sensitive topics. Having in-person training on harassment prevention has been a really positive next step for our team and we’ve gotten great feedback from everyone who attended. Cynical staff members left feeling like it was a very good use of our time, while staff members who have experienced harassment or assault in the past felt well-supported and respected.”
– Amy Averett, Alamo Drafthouse
Sexual harassment is a global issue
From the Google walkout happening across the world to the McDonald’s restaurant strikes, sexual harassment is clearly a systemic issue that needs to be addressed. According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, approximately 13,000 harassment charges are filed each year. In one year alone, this led to the EEOC recovering $164.5 million for workers alleging harassment.
As a national leader in creating healthy and respectful communities, SAFE is working to empower and instruct organizations on how to create environments where sexual harassment does not occur. In 2017, our SAFE team educated 27,400 community members or professionals about violence and abuse, including 513 Deaf community members, and 1,647 people with disabilities.
Our team of experts understand the unique concerns of each organization and works alongside corporate and organizational teams to create better practices and healthier workplace relationships.
“SAFE worked with us to provide a workshop that was well-tailored to our workplace, engaging and thought-provoking.”
–Robin Schneider, Executive Director of Texas Campaign for the Environment
