Our Mission

SAFE’s fatherhood program aims to assist fathers and father figures to gain the knowledge and skills they need to become great dads.

 

We Serve
For over 10 years, SAFE’s fatherhood program has been serving:

  • Fathers and father figures with at least one child or grandchild from 0 to 11 years
  • Living in Travis or Williamson County

Program Goals

  • Help fathers and father figures:
  • Build and strengthen safe parent-child attachment
  • Build healthy family relationships
  • Create safe and nurturing family routines
  • Learn emotional regulation strategies
  • Learn ways to cope with the stress of parenting / co-parenting
  • Manage difficult moments and behaviors
  • Get emotional support, guidance, and counseling needed

We Offer
Free parenting classes and support:

  • Nationally recognized, evidence-based curricula, tailored to fathers / father figures
  • Individualized support
  • In-person or live virtual sessions
  • 1 hr per week, +12 sessions
  • One-on-one or in small groups
  • In English and Spanish
  • In ASL and other languages with interpreters
  • Therapeutic services for kids +4 years and parent(s)
  • Child support services for kids 3 to 5 years
  • Basic needs assistance* 

*for eligible fathers/father figures with at least one child from 0 to 5 years
