We are seeking hundreds of sponsors to search for the perfect gifts and basic needs to grant the wishes of SAFE clients. We couldn’t do it without our incredible community and are counting on our friends and partners for holiday donations now.
Winter Holiday Giving
Timeline:
- 11/11 – 12/6: Wish list pairing (donors will be matched to survivor wishlists and will receive an email detailing list items after)
- 11/16: Thanksgiving Meal Kits Due
- 11/22: Mini 24in. Tree Kits Due
- 12/7-9: Gift Drop Offs by SignUp (by appointment only – please coordinate the SAFE Warehouse in advance to make a plan for drop off)
- 12/13: Gift Wrapping Kits Due

Donate Holiday Gifts – Sponsor a SAFE Family this season
Whether our families are celebrating Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, or Las Posadas, we want to give them a holiday season to remember. Your generosity and support adds joy and a sense of stability to provide healing during difficult times for the families we serve. If you would like to participate, please use the link above to sponsor an individual or family. As residents of our shelter move in and out with some frequency, we cannot provide exact wishlists now. As we near the holidays, we will be able to account for who will be here and share which gifts are most meaningful to them so you can give each survivor you sponsor a Christmas to remember. You will be provided a list that matches the number of individuals or family members you choose to sponsor once we have confirmed which survivors will be joining us in celebration this holiday.
Donate Christmas Trees, Decor, and Gift Wrapping!
Want to help make survivors feel at home this season? We are accepting Christmas trees, ornaments, and decor to help spruce up the homes of survivors for the holiday. Offering ways to participate in adding holiday cheer doesn’t just add joy. Providing ways to participate in and prepare for the holidays in a way that resonates most with survivors allows an added sense of autonomy, something many survivors are seeking to reclaim in their healing. Shop for the SAFE Shelves – Donate Now
Finally, the shelves of our warehouse fluctuate in need greatly throughout the year. You can help provide last-minute gifts for those who move into shelter at the end of the holiday season, as well as other basic need items for clients. Often around the holidays, basic need donations dwindle–by shopping for the shelves, you ensure that SAFE has everything our clients need for the first few months of 2024. No need to sign up to select SAFE Shelves items.
How to help fill our shelves:

Volunteer
We need your help managing all of these gifts! Volunteer shifts are available throughout the first half of December and include helping with donor drop-off, gift organizing, and staff pick-up. Sign up to volunteer here. More opportunities coming soon!
SAFE Donation Warehouse
Please note: Due to staff and storage capacity, SAFE prefers only new donations from Nov. 1-Jan 31. Please hold onto used donations until Feb 1, 2025. Thank you for understanding!
The SAFE Donation Warehouse will be accepting Angel Tree and other Drive collections, SAFE Shelves, and other general new in-kind donations. If you received a wish list, your delivery instructions will be sent to you in your pairing email.
