Chief Financial Officer
Kitt has 37 years of experience in non-profit finance, including 17 years with SAFE and nearly 20 years with private universities. In addition to being highly regarded for her work in grants administration, Kitt has served as Business Manager and Treasurer, Director of Accounting, Controller, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services.
In her current position, Kitt enjoys serving a dual bottom line: making a significant impact on the lives of people in our community who are affected by violence and abuse, and reconciling an $18 million budget which includes 49 distinct program budgets, more than 30 governmental grants, payroll for more than 300 staff, and operation of two campuses. A successful day for Kitt is when she provides the tools to obtain and manage the various resources to fund the important work of staff who serve SAFE clients.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and Psychology from Campbellsville College, and a Master’s in Business Administration from Wayland University. Kitt passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1996.
