Together, We Can Stop Abuse for Everyone

Violence and abuse touch countless lives in our community. At SAFE, we provide safety, stability, and healing to survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking.  We are devoted to stopping abuse for everyone, including you and your loved ones.   Every day, we house about 900 children and adults and work tirelessly to stop the cycle of violence.  We recently started building two new housing projects to create 120 homes for families and individuals escaping abuse.  Violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women and children, and providing a safe home is the first step toward freedom and stability for many of our clients.

What Your Gift Can Do:

Your gift is not just a donation -- it's a lifeline for survivors.

·         $25: Provides a night of safety for someone escaping violence.

·         $50: Ensures a virtual counseling session for a child or adult survivor.

·         $100: Equips families with essential resources to transition to stability.

·         $500: Funds a forensic exam and care for a sexual assault survivor. 

·         $1,000: Supports a week of safe, supervised visits for 15 children and their families.

Why Your Support Matters

Last year, SAFE served thousands of children, youth, women, and men through lifesaving services:

•  6,000 individuals received face-to-face support.
• 25,000 SAFEline calls, texts, and chats from people in crisis were answered.
• 700 survivors of sexual assault received compassionate care at Eloise House.
• 1,200 adults and children found emergency housing at SAFE shelters.
• 408 children received backpacks and supplies to start the school year.

When Maria escaped an abusive relationship with her two children, she found refuge and hope at SAFE. Our shelter gave her family with a secure place to stay, and trauma-informed counseling to help her begin to heal. Through our housing program, Maria and her children received the tools they needed to rebuild their lives. Today, Maria has a stable job, and her children are thriving in school. Their smiles reflect the safety and stability they have regained – a future they once thought impossible.

SAFE relies on volunteers to bring our mission to life. Whether you want to work directly with survivors, assist behind the scenes, or lead group projects, there’s a role for everyone:
