Give Back Your Way!
- Donate Goods – In-kind donations keep our warehouse afloat with basic needs survivors often come to shelter without after fleeing a violent situation.
- Become an Everyday Hero – Giving monthly helps us plan for initiatives and understand projections for program funding. It is the meat and potatoes of our financial planning for safety resources.
- Sponsorships – Sponsor an event or help fund a financial gap in a program that speaks to your heart.
- Volunteer – We love our volunteers! Help stock our warehouse, host a children’s activity, or contribute to beautifying our campus by updating rooms and landscaping in need of love and care.
- Attend an event – Attend SAFE events as a volunteer and/or as an attendee. Events are fun and along with raising funds, they help us raise awareness of our services in the community.
- Volunteer as a group – Work or volunteer somewhere that likes to give back to local organizations? Get in touch with us to learn how you and your coworkers can volunteer as a group!
- Work at SAFE – We’re hiring for all kinds of positions. Browse our job board to see if there’s a fit for you!
- Join a committee – whether you’re interested in becoming a board member, joining a Gala committee, or consulting as an expert on our public policy committee, we’re happy to partner with friends from all areas of expertise.
- Share your personal and professional expertise – Have another expertise you can share to make an event or activity shine? We’d love to partner with you to learn how your skills and talents can intersect with our mission.
- Tell your friends, family, and neighbors – talk about us with your friends, family, neighbors, and folks in the community or host an event with people who can help us amplify the message about our services and what living a healthy, violence-free life can look like.
- Display SAFE information at your place of business – Have a place of business with a storefront? Post information about our services, events, and resources so survivors and community members have easy access to our mission.
- Follow SAFE on social media – Follow @safeatx on social media and share our resources, news, and events with your network.
Your Donations Provide Life-Changing Support for Survivors like Leo
The physical abuse that Leo, his mother and his siblings suffered daily at the hands of his father forced Leo to run away from home on several occasions, only returning to check on his siblings. Leo also acted out and was eventually placed in juvenile detention. When he arrived at SAFE’s Children’s Shelter, Leo found a sense of stability and received the support and help he needed to register for community college classes and secure a part-time job. He now has his own car, is getting better grades and feels much more prepared to enter adulthood confidently.
